What is a Professional Organizer?
Our Professional Organizers provide information, products and assistance to help others organize to meet their needs. A professional organizer should guide, encourage and educate clients about basic principles of organizing by offering support, focus and direction.
What is an Interior Designer?
Our Interior Designers provide design guidance and suggestions to help create a space that is aesthetically harmonious and meets the aesthetic requirements of our clients. An Interior Designer will create a design solution for the space that may include architectural modifications, furnishings, lighting solutions and/or finish materials such as fabrics, wallcoverings and floor finishes.

I've always been disorganized, is there really hope for me?
It is possible to learn the basic principles and formulas of organizing. However, in order to experience long-lasting, life-changing results, a professional organizer can teach you how to maintain your systems on a regular basis.
Will a professional organizer make me throw away all my “stuff”?
A professional organizer is a consultant who will ask questions, make observations and suggestions to help you decide what is or is not important to you. Ultimately, you, the client, are the final decision-maker.
Does the professional organizer do the work or does he/she tell me how to do it?
This is a personal decision based on your needs and budget. While some clients prefer working alongside their organizers other just need direction and an action plan to get them going.
I am a very private person. Will my sessions be confidential?
Clarity Consulting Professional Organizers & Designers are aware of the high level of trust placed in them by their clients. They would never do or say anything to breach that trust. Integrity, honesty and confidentiality are guiding principles of Clarity Consulting.
How long will it take to get me organized?
There is no set answer as each organizing project is different. Length of a project will depend primarily on the size of your home or office, the amount of clutter and/or paper that has built up, and how quickly you can make decisions.
I've never worked with an Interior Designer before, what should I expect?
Our designers are here to help you develop and cultivate a new image and vision of your space. We do not simply “apply” a theme or look – we work hard to articulate how the space tells a story or represents your family, personal interests, or company identity. After understanding your tastes and vision for the space we help to make that space come alive through the use of interior materials, furnishings and accessories. We are also available to help plan and manage minor renovations or expansions to your space.
Will the Interior Designer help me find the products or furnishings I'm looking for?
We can provide recommendations for on-line suppliers, showrooms or retail stores for our clients to select from. We can assist in the procurement of products available to the trade only as well. Depending on the items needed, you can purchase the items directly from the retailer directly or work through Clarity Consulting to purchase these items on your behalf (shopping time may apply).
I just need a little help selecting a paint color or choosing some draperies. Can Clarity Consulting help?
We love assisting our clients with any service they might need. Give us a call today to find out more!
I've made the decision to get started. What should I do next?
Contact Clarity Consulting via phone or email to schedule a phone consultation. We will review your goals and get a better understanding of what type of service you are looking for. At that point, we will make an on-site appointment with you in your home or office and get started!
What happens at the first on-site appointment or initial consultation?
The primary purpose of the on-site appointment is to assess your project goals and objectives, review and prioritize the areas of the home or office that need assistance and provide an estimate of the project fees. At this meeting, we will asses the existing systems, furnishings, and functions of each space or item. We will ask you many questions about what you like and don’t like about your current situation and how you would picture it in an ideal situation – both from and Organization and Interior Design standpoint. We will assist you by beginning to put together the Project Action Plan. We will also determine whether you prefer our services on a Consultation basis, a Full Service basis or a combination. Many times the first on-site appointment is directly followed with a working session to begin getting organized right away!
How does working on a Consultation basis work?
When working on a Consultation basis, we assist by developing a Project Action Plan to achieve your goals and objectives. Our Organizers and Designers will make recommendations and assign tasks for you to accomplish while providing you with the motivation to complete these tasks before our next visit. In this example, you are accomplishing the tasks with our guidance, coaching and support.
How does working on a Full Service basis work?
Full Service projects include the initial consultation and development of the Project Action Plan, as listed above. The basic difference is that our Organizers and/or Designers would be involved with the actual hands-on portion of the tasks in order to achieve the goals of the Project Action Plan. Typically, we schedule a work session with you and spend 3 to 6 hours by your side per session. With this level of service, we would be helping you actually sort, throw away, arrange, file, etc.
How does Clarity Consulting charge for their services?
All fees are estimated on a lump sum or per project basis. The fees for each project will vary depending on the level of service that is requested by the client. Services are also offered on an hourly basis for smaller projects or if requested by the client. The initial on-site appointment is included in the overall project fee estimate or charged on an hourly basis (one hour minimum). Travel costs are applicable for travel to and from a client’s home/office, a showroom or retail store.
How much will it cost?
